About Us

Instant Fire Protection Co. (iFP) has proudly served the Salem area since 1960, when founders Mark and Joan Fogal recognized the critical need for reliable fire-safety services in our community. Their daughter Mayonne Hoefling-Thompson carried the torch, and in 2022 the family-owned business entered its third and fourth generations under the capable leadership of Mayonne’s grandchildren and their mother - all committed to keeping the original Fogal vision alive.

Whether we’re inspecting your fire-extinguishers or installing a suppression system, we take the time to ensure you understand your equipment and feel confident in your safety.

We’re licensed (CCB #88324) and active members of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the National Association of Fire Equipment Distributors (NAFED), Oregon Fire Equipment Distributors (ORFED), and the International Code Council (ICC).
